New Mexico senior Ednah Kurgat placed second in the women's 6-kilometer race at the NCAA Division 1 Mountain Regional, clocking 19:55.9 at Rose Park Golf Course in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kurgat finished runner-up for the second year in a row behind teammate Weini Kelati after capturing the regional title in 2017. Kurgat helped the Lobos take second behind BYU by a 70-83 margin.
